The IrriGRAY basin system is designed to reuse graywater as quickly as possible.
This means system and installation costs are kept to a minimum, while also avoiding significant issues with large tanks (odor development and solids settling).
The brush filter wipes the filtration screen automatically, using just a little water to help the brushing process. This is the most efficient filter available, as it does not require significant backwashing. The filter screen is NOT a consumable, it is designed to last and not require replacement.
As soon as the basin contains 5 gallons of graywater, the pump activates, pushes water through the self-cleaning filter, out to an irrigation zone.
The basin provides 30 gallons of surge capacity, more than enough for residential needs.
Very high-volume situations, such as hotel laundries typically have an extra basin to provide an additional 30 gallons of surge capacity.
New Construction
The module is designed to be installed in two stages:
The lower basin can be installed prior to pouring of the foundation, and covered in soil, to protect the basin during the building construction process
The upper filtration and management module is added once the building works have been completed.
